Brush fire scorches Otay Mountain Wilderness area

(KGTV) — The forward rate of spread of a fire burning in the South Bay Saturday night has been stopped, Cal Fire said.
The agency said they were dispatched to the scene just after 2 p.m. Saturday. So far, no evacuations have been issued.
The fire has so far scorched approximately 98 acres and is 95 percent contained. The agency added that the forward rate of spread has been stopped.
